A few months ago I mentioned that our wedding was going to be featured in Cosmopolitan Bride.  Well, the Winter 2011 issue came out on Monday and there we are!

It’s a strange thing to see our wedding on the pages of a magazine like Cosmopolitan Bride!

I was a little apprehensive about how they would present the story, particularly as the questionnaire was so specifically directed at ‘the bride’ which made it a little difficult to express how we planned the whole day together.

So, aside from having a few immensely paraphrased bits as written as ‘quotes’ (or in some cases being quoted as having said things that have been entirely made up!), it’s a fun story.

I guess while I wouldn’t describe so many aspects of our wedding as “cute”, against most of the other Cosmo Bride weddings ours was, well, cute. It’s hard for me to see it the same way another reader of the magazine would…

There are some things we are really proud of that didn’t ‘make the cut’, like the fact that our rings were handmade by good friends of ours from my grandparents and great grandparents wedding rings. You’ll just have to keep reading these Humdinger posts to hear about that!

On the other hand, it’s so excellent to see all the hard work that my Mum, Dad and Loc put in acknowledged in the write-up.  I am so lucky to have such a beautiful family!

This last page makes me giggle!  Anyone that knows us would look at this page and get quite a chuckle out of the products that were chosen to emulate our wedding ‘style’.

Pastel pinks and blues?  Butterflies and diamontes? Okay, they’re cute. And our wedding is Cosmo Cute!

Anyway, for a bit of fun, and to see us all shiny and glossy check out the Winter 2011 edition of Cosmopolitan Bride.

I’m still partial to…

the beautiful write-up Kat did about us on Rock n Roll Bride,

the simplicity of Jonas Peterson’s images in his post about our wedding,

and the tear-jerking slideshow he created for us (well, it still jerks my tears!).

What do you think?
